With over 20 years of experience in the cowboy poetry industry, A. K. Moss has honed her skills as a Western poet and speaker. She excels at creating engaging and informative content that captures the attention of her listeners, including the late Baxter Black...
Some people are gifted with a voice that can connect people from the farthest corners of the earth. The story and voice of A.K. Moss was honed from the depths of poverty, homelessness, hunger, and bullying. At a young age, she began expressing her inner thoughts through cowboy poetry, reflecting the western lifestyle she lived, loved, and revered. She never dreamed it would take her to stages far from her home. Her first poetry book was called Cowboy in the Making, and after selling a few copies at a local poetry gathering, she was noticed by world-renowned cowboy poet, Baxter Black. He approached her and asked her to recite her poem for him, and when she finished, he promptly asked her why she wasn’t on stage. She told him there was no way she could do that, to which he replied, “Too bad”, as he turned his back and walked away. Those words would prove to her that she had a message, that needs to be heard. A year later, she opened for Baxter in Burns, Oregon, and has been on stage ever since.
